Jesse takes on nursing school, a job as a nurse's aide, and her family, and gets overwhelmed. Diego comes back from California and proposes again, but Jesse can't accept.

#2 Driving Miss Jesse: Aired Thursday, September 30, 1999

Jesse's car breaks down, so Danny and Kurt let her into their carpool. She drives them to work the next day when Danny's electric car isn't charged, but her son's ant project springs a leak and they get attacked by flesh-eating ants. So Jesse convinces Diego to drive them home, but Diego is still made about her turning down his proposal, and they get into a huge fight on the way home. Meanwhile, Linda refuses to move out of Diego's house, and cons him into thinking that Jesse is jealous so that he'll let her stay.

#3 Students Get Flu; Carrie at Zoo; Monkey Throw Poo: Aired Thursday, October 7, 1999

A stressed Jesse copes with a flu epidemic at the health center and listening to Carrie's story about a problem monkey. Linda won't repaint Diego's kitchen, and she's worried about little John becoming a nerd because he's hanging out with the nerdy next-door neighbor. The flu epidemic puts Kurt in a great mood. Danny is afraid all the flu patients are making him sick.

#4 Everything but the Grill: Aired Thursday, October 14, 1999

Because of the surprisingly warm fall weather, Jesse decides to have a little barbecue with Linda and Carrie. When Linda tells her how depressed Diego has been lately, Jesse thinks she should invite him, although Linda recommends against it. When Carrie stops by Jesse's work place, Danny and Kurt accidentally get invited. Little John also brings two friends. When Deigo wanders by a the barbecue is starting up, Jesse invites him. He claims he has a friend coming over, but maybe he'll stop by with his friend. He brings Fred, the delivery guy. When Jesse tells him that she'll feel sorry for him and just wanted him to have a good time and for them to be friends, he gets huffy and takes her grill, claiming he paid for it. She takes the meat back, but without a grill her barbecue has been ruined. Fred tells Diego what an ass he's being, and Diego brings back the grill in time for Linda to save the meat. Meanwhile, Danny is still fawing over Carrie, while Carrie just thinks he's weird and ends up taking off with Fred. Kurt starts playing board games with the kids, and when he wins every game he makes the kids into his servants. Then the kids pull out the Playstation and humiliate Kurt, making him serve them, sing for them, and dress up in stupid outfits.

#5 Jesse vs. Kurt: Aired Thursday, October 21, 1999

Dr. Danny invites Jesse to come to lunch with him and Kurt. Jesse and Dr. Danny get along really well, and the next day Dr. Danny suggests they do it again. Kurt says he can't make it. At lunch, Dr. Danny begs Jesse to stop stealing, or he'll have to fire her. Jesse confronts Kurt about telling Dr. Danny that she's stealing. After making Jesse chase him all over campus, Kurt finally admits that he was afriad Dr. Danny would like Jesse more than him. Jesse reassures Kurt that Dr. Danny is fully aware of what a jerk Kurt is and likes him anyway. Diego walks in the apartment as Linda is just out of the shower and on the phone, and she accidently drops her towel. Linda decides that now that Diego has seen her naked, he must be madly in love with her. She convinces Carrie and Little John of this, and no matter how much Diego denies it she still believes it. He goes over to Jesse's to reassure her, and is upset when she's not as concerned about the whole thing as he'd hoped she would be.

#7 A Woman's Prerogative: The Jesse Warner Story: Aired Thursday, December 2, 1999

Jesse tries to seduce Diego back, but when he says that he really wants to move on since she won't marry him, she gives up. Then, with some help from Linda, she realizes that a most incredible man has asked her to marry him, so she decides to tell him yes. As she's about to do so, a beautiful woman shows up at Diego's door and he kisses her hello and ushers inside with her luggage. Carrie starts attending a geology class and gets a new appreciation for education. Dr. Danny finally screws up the courage to ask Carrie out, but has bad timing.

Jesse meets Diego's beautiful visitor, Irma, who turns out to be his ex-fiance. Dr. Danny finally asks Carrie out, but an upset Jesse tags along. Even though their date is ruined, Carrie admits she likes Dr. Danny too and they kiss. Diego hunts down Jesse to apologize for not telling her about Irma, and Jesse taunts him with a secret of her own, and then kisses him so that he'll have a secret from Irma.

#9 The Christmas Party: Aired Thursday, December 16, 1999

Jesse's tree-trimming party is a mess when Diego doesn't follow through with hanging up the lights, Carrie and Danny's bliss is ruined by a silly comment Danny makes about Jesse, Linda and Kurt declare war, John gets stuck behind the toilet, and John's dad Roy cancels their trip to Rockefeller Center. The day is saved, however, when Diego ends up doing a masterful job stringing up the lights, and everyone reclaims their Christmas spirit. Jesse and Diego have a "moment" right before Irma arrives to sweep Diego away to the Mayor's benefit ball.

Jesse plays nurse to a sickly squirrel that Carrie finds lying in the snow. Even though the squirrel runs away and dies, Kurt admits to Jesse that she did a good job. Linda and a bunch of kids terrorize Diego while he tries to shovel the snow from his driveway.

Jesse and Carrie are excited about their high-school reunion, but Linda is adament that they shouldn't go. The night of the big event, they decide at the last minute to bag it and go see Linda at work at the airport bar. When they find out she got fired two weeks ago, they hunt her down at an old rock they used to hang out at in high school. Linda's depressed that she doesn't have a boyfriend and keeps getting fired from jobs, but after a little good-natured ribbing from her best friends, she cheers up, and her night gets a lot better when some of their other male high school buddies show up at the rock much improved from their high school days.

The gang watches "The Sound of Music." Linda protests that she hates musicals, but actually gets into it. Danny remembers playing Rolf the Nazi in summer camp and getting treated poorly because he played the role so well. Diego hints that he wouldn't mind having seven children, and Jesse recounts the story of giving birth to John and how she went into labor while getting her driver's license and Roy never showed up.

#15 My Boyfriend Went to Chile and All I Got Was This Lousy Moustache: Aired Thursday, February 10, 2000

Diego comes back from a vacation with a big moustache that Jesse hates. He's about to shave it when Dr. Danny implies that Diego is whipped, so he decides to keep the facial hair even though he's starting to hate it just as much as Jesse does. When Linda and Jesse finally point out that Dr. Danny is, in fact, much more the whipped one, Diego finally storms of to shave. Linda gets a job that she actually likes as a security guard at the university campus. She goes so far overboard in her duties that everyone starts to hate her. Kurt almost gets her fired by telling her boss that she lied on her resume, but Jesse keeps him from doing so, and eventually Linda's boss sits her down and tells her to chill.

#16 Jesse's Coat a Useful Crutch, Diego's Kitchen Not So Much: Aired Thursday, February 24, 2000

Jesse is sick of people not knowing that she actually works at the clinic. She asks Kurt for a lab coat, but he says she hasn't earned it yet. So she buys her own lab coat, but the disdain from Dr. Danny and Kurt makes her stop wearing it. Finally, she successfully removes a staple from the hand of a large violent man who had Kurt pinned to a wall, and Kurt awards her her lab coat. Diego is testing Linda to see how long she will live in her own filth if he doesn't clean up after her anymore. After Diego's house is ruined by fire, Linda thinks it was her fault, but Diego finds out it was actually because of his paint brushes sitting in turpentine. He is about to tell Linda what happened when she presents him with a $10,000 check of her savings and says she'll move out. Jesse steps in, and tells Linda she can move back in with Diego as long as she pays half the rent, half the groceries, and starts cleaning up around the place. Linda is touched.

#17 The Dump: Aired Thursday, March 2, 2000

Diego is depressed because he hasn't seen the sun through the long Buffalo winter. Jesse tries everything to cheer him up, and for a moment he's happy singing "Hello, Dolly" in a piano bar, but then he gets punched out by a stranger who doesn't like his singing. Jesse gets them tickets to Bermuda, but then during Diego's kitchen remodeling his old refrigerator gets taken to the dump with his passport inside (yes, that's where he hid it). They look through the dump but can't find it. Finally, Jesse paints a beach on the wall of Diego's new kitchen and they enjoy tropical drinks under a sun lamp. Carrie is upset with Danny because he's too social and they never get any time alone together. Luckily, Jesse has two extra tickets to Bermuda so Danny buys them off of her to save his relationship with Carrie.

#18 Diego's First Sleep-Over: Aired Thursday, March 16, 2000

John is sleeping over at a friend's house, so Jesse is excited to have a sleepover of her own with Diego. She and Diego freak out when John catches them at night because he came back to get something he forgot, but it turns out that John isn't stressed about it at all and doesn't mind if Diego sleeps over. So Jesse and Diego have their first sleepover with John there, but they stress out so much about him hearing them that eventually Diego just goes home. The next night Jesse has finally satisfied herself that John is asleep, and she's all ready to get it on with Diego, but Diego has already fallen asleep. Linda is bragging about her boxing skills when Carrie mentions that she thinks she could take Linda in a fight. They decide to fight at the gym, but Dr. Danny begs Carrie to call it off because he's against violence. Carrie calls it off, but Linda says that that's a forfeit and so she wins. Carrie doesn't want Linda to win, so the fight's back on. They're in the ring with boxing gloves, and Carrie is pulling stupid moves rushing around Linda while Linda looks on in disbelief. When Carrie actually throws a punch at Linda's back, Linda loses at it and goes for Carrie without her gloves. They hit a stalemate leaning up against the side of the ring, each grabbing the other in a semblance of a head-lock.

#19 First Blood: Aired Thursday, May 25, 2000

Diego not only doesn't get the professorship he was going for, but has to share his studio with the pompous Brit that does get the job. He puts up with the annoying guy for awhile, but loses it when the unwelcome guest paints a nude portrait of Jesse. Unfortunately, after breaking a painting over the visiting professor's head, Diego loses the job that was keeping him in the country. Jesse tries to learn how to draw blood at work, but has a little fainting problem. Kurt mocks her, so Dr. Danny and Carrie force Kurt to face his fear of cats. After he does so, he keeps mocking Jesse, so Jesse sticks him with a needle.

#20 My Best Friend's Wedding: Aired Thursday, May 25, 2000

To stay in the country, Diego gets a job doing charicatures at the mall, but gets fired when he draws a fat kid fat. Carrie suggests Diego and Jesse get married, but both parties quickly say they're not ready for that. Then Linda suggests that Diego marry her. Jesse reluctantly agrees. Diego and Linda go down to city hall to get married, while Jesse goes to the eye doctor because she's been having trouble reading. Jesse is getting more and more upset, but keeps denying that she'd rather be marrying Diego. Finally, almost blind and with eyes dialated, she decides to stop the wedding and ask Diego to marry her. She goes to city hall and pops the questions. Diego says yes, but tells Jesse that he already married Linda.
